Wizard Nebula
NGC 7380 in Cepheus is an open cluster embedded in a surrounding emission nebula around 7,200 light-years away. The nebula’s distinctive pointed towers of gas — which give it its wizard-like silhouette — are Bok globules and evaporating gaseous globules (EGGs) being sculpted by radiation from the young cluster stars. The whole complex is relatively young at only around 4 million years old.
